Family and Marriage:
The First Institution of God


I believe marriage and the family are the first institutions ever created on this earth of ours. I also believe that the family is the unity of two persons of the opposite sex for the soul purpose to procreate. In Rev 19:7–8. God uses a great metaphor of a bridegroom (Christ) and His bride (the church) to symbolize the unity between a man and a woman in marriage. Just as Christ is married to the church and loves it, man also should take a wife and love her. The family, the first institution created by God for man, is being attacked in many different ways. In Gen. 1:28, God tells Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve or Carol and Eve, to be fruitful and multiply upon the face of the earth. I don't believe that God intended for man to experiment in creating people through cloning even if it is to reproduce spare body parts to use to live longer. God originally intended for mankind to live forever, but sin came into the world, and it is sin that causes us to die. I believe that God intended for mankind to live in a monogamous relationship between two people of the opposite sex, and if I sound to be a bigot or intolerant to other's beliefs, I must say that I am no more a bigot or intolerant to other's beliefs than they are to mine. I believe that there is one God who created everything, and He did it from nothing.
