I just want to paise my God, the Lord Jesus Christ, because of His mercy to me. I want to praise His name because He brought me out of the miry clay and set my feet on the rock to stay. He is worthy to be praised, and I will love Him forever. I have decided to follow Jesus no matter what others may say. I have decided that there is no turning back from the one who loves me.
I pray that you may receive a rich blessing in this period of worship and that Christ the Lord will be more real to you because you have worshipped here today.
Praise is defined as an expression of approval, commendation, or admiration of a deity, ruler, or hero i.e. God or Jesus Christ. The Bible has much to say about praise. We can read about how and why the patriarchs of the Old Testament praised God in songs like 1; the song of Moses, after the passage of the Red Sea, 2; the song of Miriam, 3; the song of Deborah, after defeating the Canaanites, 4; the song of Hannah, and the most well known 5; the song of David: Celebrating his deliverance from the hand of Saul.
