Word for the Week

We are part of a greater calling than our vision, at the present, will allow. At best we see through a glass darkly, our vision has always been for the work given us, and we are found building our portion of the wall while neglecting the ox in the ditch. We never see our full potential fulfilled in our lives.

Our vision is limiting our ability to grow and mature into the image of Christ. We remain babes and in need of much care to function in the Body. This nursery that has been set up to keep us corralled and out of harms way is a deception and not in the best interest of the children of God.

To suffer as Christ suffered, is the true path to maturity in the Body. Through that suffering we are maturing and drawing closer to the Lord. Our understanding is changing and our desires are being redirected toward Him. We begin to function and have our being in Him, as we learn to endure as good soldiers in the Army Of God.

If real fruit is to ever be evident in our lives then we must take the path of greatest resistance to be found in Him. This is the only way to spiritual maturity. We must allow the babes to mature through trials and persecutions. As they grow they will make big mistakes, but in the end they will be a force of love and soldiers seasoned for battle.

Never were the children of God ever to be pew potatoes and glad handlers. We are an army and the enemy is under our feet. Ministry is for us all as believers, not just for the proud and the few. The cry of the Spirit is to awaken us all to the call on our lives to be lights in darkness and the salt of the earth.

We must stop being spectators and start being soldiers who follow and take orders from those to whom the Lord has given us as Leaders in the Body. Anything apart from this is rebellion and the spirit of witchcraft! As we grow and mature, the result will be 1) greater Anointing for Ministry and 2) intercessory Prayer as the Gifts are released through us. These two are going to be foundational beacons to help guide us toward our goal that the Lord has set before us.

The path of suffering produces spiritual growth and fruit in our lives. Any other path produces spiritual death. God Bless!
